My Name Is DEXTER!

Dexter is a sweet boy who is already neutered and ready to head home with his new family today! He is a very smart fella and is incredibly eager to show off everything he knows. Dexter has already mastered the commands for sit, give paw, lay down, and come. He is such a good listener that he even sat down just hearing his handler talk about his skills!

This active boy is a "potty dog" at the shelter, and he was very excited to get out of his kennel, he walked with great enthusiasm on his leash. Dexter loves to play and especially enjoys chasing after toys or the flirt stick, which is a great exercise tool for him. While he loves the chase, he hasn't quite decided that bringing the toys back is part of the game yet! He is also non-reactive to other dogs passing by.

He loves to focus on making new human friends. Dexter is a social butterfly who likes to walk up to the fence to see if passersbys will give him some attention. He much prefers being around people than being in his kennel and is a total sucker for affection—especially a good butt scratch!

This pup is being spotlighted for one reason only, time. They have been overlooked in the shelter for far too long, and would love a break from the shelter environment where they can relax and just be a dog. The longer they stay in the shelter, the higher the risk of them deteriorating behaviorally and/or medically. If you'd like to foster or adopt this pup, please come in to meet them!
