My Name Is SAINT!
Meet Saint
He’s basically applying for canonization in the “Goodest Boy” category. Saint is already neutered and ready to head home today, no waiting period, no paperwork drama, just pack the car and let’s go! He’s listed as a potty dog here at the shelter (potty trained, a true gentleman).
He can be a little shy at first, he's the strong silent type. He prefers a slow, calm introduction… but give him a minute and he’ll gently lean into you like, “Oh. You’re my person now.”
He walks nicely on leash, enjoys politely observing the world, and doesn’t stir up drama with passing dogs.
Saint is looking for a forever home that will give him time to decompress, blossom, and fully reveal his devoted, cuddly, lean-into-you self. Underneath that shy exterior is a loyal shadow just waiting to happen.
If you think you could be the perfect match for this sweet boy, come meet him today. If you need more time to decide, ask about the Foster Field Trip, foster, or Foster to Adopt programs, a wonderful way to give Saint a break from the shelter and get to know each other in a home setting. Will you take a chance on him?
Adopt this dog and receive a scholarship for 5 weeks of free group training classes! These classes are taught by a certified trainer at the shelter. Our Bark to Basics classes cover basic obedience, manners, and leash skills. Ask an adoption counselor for details. This offer is available for this dog only. My Special Considerations
Saint is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. He is a sweet boy who may be a little nervous at first but warms up with time and a gentle, slow approach. He has warmed up to a few team members and he loves getting pets from his favorite people! He arrived to the shelter with another dog. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes. This dog is a “potty dog” at the shelter which means they wait to go outside to do their business and is likely housebroken.
This boy been diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) through a cardiologist. He will need to continue on daily medication for this condition and ideally have a recheck with a cardiologist in August 2026.
