My Name Is *KERMIT!
Kermit is the sweetest little guy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Despite his unique, frog-like hind legs, he gets around just fine—hopping along happily and taking in every moment. With his big, buggy eyes and hindleg placement, he truly looks like his namesake–Kermit!–and his goofy charm only makes him more adorable. Estimated to be around 3 years old and about 40 lbs, Kermit came in as a stray but hasn’t let that dim his joyful spirit one bit.
This boy is all love. Kermit adores pets, cuddles, and being held—and he’ll even hug you back. On walks, he happily greets people, wagging his tail in bliss. It’s as if he’s a celebrity—with everyone wanting to meet this unique boy! One look into his big, soulful puppy eyes and you can’t help but fall in love.
He seems friendly with other dogs too, showing no signs of reactivity and even wagging his tail when meeting another curious young pup. When he gets excited, his playful goofiness really comes out as he rubs against you, and rolls and flops around.
Kermit will need a family committed to loving him and providing for his care. What he gives in return is priceless: endless affection, gratitude, and the kind of love that fills a home. Kermit is happy to be alive—and ready to thrive with a family who will love him just as he is.
My Special Considerations
This sweet, goofy man has is able to walk but has an abnormal posture/conformation of his hindlegs (almost like a frog!). He has been evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon and while surgery is not indicated, he may benefit from physical therapy. He is also underweight with retained baby canine teeth and an open umbilical hernia. Radiographs were done and unremarkable. He would benefit from removal of his baby teeth, and surgical closure of his hernia at time of neuter.
TAF will cover the cost of three physical therapy sessions at LVVSC once transferred or adopted.
