My Name Is *BANDIT!
Bandit is an active and enthusiastic young boy who is looking for a family to help him reach his full potential! This handsome guy was previously in a home with teenagers and another large dog, where he was described as a protective and high-energy companion. His previous family shared that he is already potty trained and does great during visits to the vet.
At the shelter, Bandit has shown himself to be a big "Baby Huey" who is simply excited about life. While he walks well on a leash without pulling, he is a curious explorer who likes to zigzag and take in all the sights. He is very treat-motivated and is proud to demonstrate that he already knows how to sit, lay down, and is even working on his "give paw" command. Because he is still a big puppy at heart, he will benefit from a home that can provide consistent guidance and training to help him with his manners, like learning not to jump when he's excited.
Bandit is a total athlete who absolutely loves to play fetch! In fact, a good game of fetch is the perfect way to keep his focus and help him settle down around other dogs. He also enjoys chasing after the flirt stick once he’s had a chance to sniff it and get comfortable. Once the playtime is over, Bandit is a total softie who loves to soak up affection from his people.
If you think you have the time and patience for an active boy and are the perfect home for Bandit, then come and meet him today. If you think you need more time to decide, ask staff about the foster field trip and foster programs. It is a great way to give Bandit a break from the shelter and a chance for you to get to know him in a home setting.
