My Name Is BULLET!

Meet Bullet, a young, shy boy who is a total sweetheart looking for a patient home where he can get the time and slow approach he needs to decompress and shine! Once he feels safe, Bullet loves to lean up against his handler, snuggle close, and soak up head pets and affection.
Bullet is a smart and obedient pup who actively responds when his name is called and already knows sit and paw. He will gently rest his paw in your hand, hold it there for a bit, and even attempts a cute sit pretty! He is both food and toy motivated; he gently eats treats directly out of your hand and enjoys plush and squeaky toys, coming right over as soon as he hears a squeaker.
When meeting other dogs, Bullet is friendly and non-reactive. When a dog was nearby on the other side of the fence, he stayed calm and friendly, gave a few polite hello barks, wagged his tail, and wanted to sniff through the gate. While leashing he simply requires a patient, slow approach, space, and a gentle touch to build his confidence.

My Special Considerations

Bullet is not adapting well to the shelter environment and exhibiting signs of fear and kennel distress. He snaps at the leash and avoids interactions with team members. He can be nervous with new people and in the loud, stressful shelter environment. He needs a quiet and patient home to decompress and become more comfortable with new people and leashing. This animal would benefit from a quieter place to adjust and become more comfortable with social and environmental changes.
