My Name Is JAKE!
Meet Jake, a 4-year-old bundle of fun who is ready to bring laughter, adventure, and plenty of squeaky-toy entertainment into his new home!
This handsome, long-legged guy weighs 62 pounds, but somehow seems to grow even taller when he's excited. Jake is a lanky, lovable goofball with a larger-than-life personality and a heart just as big.
Jake loves to play, and if there is a ball involved, even better! Squeaky balls are his absolute favorite, and he can happily entertain himself by tossing them around and squeaking them over and over again. Watching Jake play is guaranteed to make you smile. He enjoys games of fetch, loves treats, and is always excited to spend time with his people.
One of Jake's favorite parts of the day is playgroup, where he gets to show off his social and playful side. He attends playgroup regularly and absolutely loves running around with his dog friends. He is also a big fan of the baby pool and never misses an opportunity to splash, cool off, and have some fun. Whether he's zooming around the yard or lounging in the water, Jake knows how to make the most of playtime.
When Jake first heads out for an adventure, his enthusiasm can be hard to contain. He may get a little bouncy and eager to get going, but once he burns off some of that initial excitement, he settles in nicely and enjoys exploring by your side. He's responsive to guidance, listens well on leash, and already knows how to sit with a hand signal and come when called by name.
Jake is truly a big baby at heart. More than anything, he loves attention and being included in whatever his people are doing. His goofy antics, playful spirit, and affectionate nature make him a dog that's easy to fall in love with. If you're looking for a silly best friend who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and keep your toy basket well-loved, Jake might be the perfect match.
My Special Considerations
Jake is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
