This beautiful brindle boy is as striking as his name—and just as bold. True to his royal title, Prince Leonidas Rogers carries himself with confidence and enthusiasm, ready to lead the way on long walks, hikes, and new adventures by your side.

He is a super sweet boy with the sweetest face, takes treats gently, and likes to relax by chewing on a squeaky ball. Estimated to be around 4 years old, Prince Leonidas Rogers came to the shelter as a stray alongside a mama dog, who had just given birth to 10 puppies. Despite his rough start, he’s a happy, active boy with a lot of zest for life. He would thrive in a home that can provide regular physical exercise and mental stimulation—think long walks, hiking trails, training sessions, and learning new tricks. Mental workouts count too, and he’d love a family who enjoys keeping their dog engaged.

Prince Leonidas Rogers is a strong boy, so he’ll do best with a confident handler who can give him the structure, exercise, and guidance he needs to shine. The shelter life is rough for this boy and so he needs help working off some pent-up energy -- being cooped up in a kennel for days at a time is rough!

My Special Considerations

*Prince Leonidas Rogers is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He is tracking his feces all over his kennel heavily, including on the walls. He can become jumpy and mouthy during play. He takes treats gently. Outside of the kennel, he pulls on leash, allows all handling, and seeks attention. He is a playgroup candidate. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation. This animal needs placement by 2/26 at 3 PM.
