Grant will support daily operations of adoptions at PetSmart store in Henderson
Las Vegas –The Animal Foundation has received a grant for $20,000 from PetSmart Charities, the leading funder of animal welfare in North America, to support the daily operations of the Everyday Adoption Center (EAC) at the PetSmart store #1895 at 286 W. Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson, Nevada. Thanks to this generous grant, The Animal Foundation will be able to cover more of the staffing, supplies, transportation and adoption preparation expenses to support PetSmart Charities’ and The Animal Foundation’s mutual goal of increasing adoptions of shelter pets at the EAC.
“By receiving this latest grant, we are able to continue our philanthropic services to Henderson and further heighten community awareness about shelter animal adoption,” said Daniel Neel, Chief Finance and Development Officer of The Animal Foundation. “We are very proud to partner with PetSmart Charities to advance our mutual mission of saving more of the lost, homeless, abandoned and often mistreated animals who come into our care.”
“At PetSmart Charities, our mission is to find lifelong, loving forever homes for all pets and we do this with the help of local animal welfare organizations like The Animal Foundation who are just as passionate as we are about helping pets in need,” said Jenny Aho, Regional Relationship Manager at PetSmart Charities. “With the help of this grant, we look forward to seeing this adoption partner continue their lifesaving work at the PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Center and seeing even more of the tremendous impact that they have had in the Las Vegas-Henderson community.”
Operating as Nevada’s largest open-admission animal shelter, The Animal Foundation provides refuge and healthcare for tens of thousands of helpless animals annually. The PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Center (EAC) is open daily from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. For more information and to view adoptable pets, please visit animalfoundation.com.
