All dogs 30lbs and over, cats 6 months and older and rabbits available for free through August 15

Las Vegas – With the shelter continuing to be at capacity during the busy summer months, The Animal Foundation is extending its free summer adoptions to help find forever homes for all dogs 30lbs and over, as well as all cats six months and older and all rabbits. The new Save A Life This Summer promotion, which will continue through August 15, is valid at The Animal Foundation’s main campus at 655 North Mojave Road in Las Vegas and at the PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center (EAC) at 286 West Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson.

“We believe every shelter pet deserves an encore, which is why we teamed up with lifeguards at Encore Beach Club to develop creative that stresses how adopting a shelter pet can actually save a life,” said Lynn Holt, Director of Marketing at The Animal Foundation. “In these dog days of summer, we currently have an abundance of homeless pets looking for their forever homes.”

The free adoptions will include spay/neuter surgery, microchipping and up-to-date vaccines.  A city/government fee of $10 will apply for residents of the City of Las Vegas and the City of North Las Vegas. Prospective pet parents are encouraged to stop by either of The Animal Foundation’s adoption facilities beginning tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This newest adoption promotion is just one of the many life-saving and life-changing efforts implemented as part of Mission: Possible 2020, The Animal Foundation’s commitment to save all healthy and treatable animals in their care by the end of 2020. The Animal Foundation is the highest volume single-site animal shelter and pet adoption center in the nation and provides refuge for thousands of homeless animals throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
