Special tailgate party highlights weekend promotion February 2-4

Las Vegas The Animal Foundation is getting into the spirit of Kitten Bowl V, the Hallmark Channel’s feline football showdown on Super Bowl Sunday, with a special $5 adoption promotion to help find forever homes for the cats and kittens available for adoption at both the shelter and the PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center in Henderson. To add to the festivities, The Animal Foundation will host a special tailgate party featuring refreshments, raffles and performances by cheerleaders and dancers from Las Vegas High School, the home of the Wildcats, on Saturday, February 3, from 11am to 1pm.

Kitten Bowl V premieres on Super Bowl Sunday, February 4, at 12pm on the Hallmark Channel. Since its inception, Kitten Bowl has resulted in 10,000 adoptions at shelters across the country through a partnership between the Hallmark Channel and the North Shore Animal League, the world’s largest no-kill, rescue and animal adoption organization.

The $5 adoptions for The Animal Foundation’s furry felines from February 2 through 4 will include spay/neuter surgery, microchipping and up-to-date vaccines.  A city/government fee of $10 will apply for residents of the City of Las Vegas and the City of North Las Vegas. Prospective cat parents are encouraged to stop by The Animal Foundation’s newly relocated adoption facilities off 685 North Wardelle Street between East Harris Avenue and Bonanza Road or to visit the PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center at 286 West Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson beginning tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. to meet the playful cats.

This newest adoption promotion is just one of the many life-saving and life-changing efforts implemented as part of Mission: Possible 2020, The Animal Foundation’s commitment to save all healthy and treatable animals in their care by the end of 2020. The Animal Foundation is the highest volume single-site animal shelter and pet adoption center in the nation and provides refuge for thousands of homeless animals throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
