Peeta is a gentle and intelligent dog who knows basic commands. He's eager to please and is highly motivated by treats. Peeta is easy to handle and walks well on a leash.

On a recent foster field trip, Peeta was a wonderful hiking companion. His foster said he wan't too much to handle on a hike, knows sit, down and paw, and even brings the ball back when you're playing fetch. He's sweet, affectionate, and silly--the perfect package! "I truly don't know how this guy is still at the shelter," they said.

My Special Considerations

*Peeta is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. *Peeta is heavy panting, digging at his door, and leaving heavy smears. He loves playing with dogs at playgroup and most enjoys gentle play. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
