SUMMARY:Clear The Shelters 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Animal Foundation is again partnering with Telemundo Las Vegas/KBLR to participate in the nationwide Clear the Shelters pet adoption campaign from August 1 and August 31. During Clear the Shelters\, adoption fees will be waived for adult cats and large\, adult dogs. Cats must be at least 6 months old and dogs must be 6 months or older and over 30 pounds to qualify for the promotion. \nTo celebrate the culmination of the 11th year of this campaign\, we will be waiving adoption fees for ALL pets in the shelter\, including puppies and kittens\, on Saturday\, August 30 and Sunday\, August 31. \nSince 2015\, NBCUniversal Local’s Clear The Shelters campaign has helped more than one million pets find new homes. \n\nHow the Adoption Process Works:\n\nVisit https://animalfoundation.com/adopt-a-pet/adoption-search before coming to the shelter to browse adoptable pets.\nUse the QR code on our adoption lobby door to join the virtual waitlist. The waitlist opens at 8:00 am.\nPlease make sure to return by 11 am when the doors open.\nDepending on the volume of patrons each day\, adoption services may close before 7 PM once our capacity is reached. We recommend arriving early.\nWhen you arrive\, you may browse the adoption area for a pet\, or if you have an animal in mind\, please note the animal ID# and you’ll be able to speak with an adoption counselor.\nWe do not place holds on pets.\nPlease do not bring your current pets for introductions — the shelter environment doesn’t provide an accurate picture of how pets will interact at home.\nThe fee-waived adoptions include spay/neuter surgery and up-to-date vaccines and microchips.
