Gentle and Shy Soul: Baby has special considerations, as she is currently experiencing some fear and kennel distress. Shelters can be overwhelming for a sensitive dog. She can be nervous when first approached and simply needs time and patience to become comfortable with new people. Once she feels safe, her gentle nature begins to shine through.
Wait and Leash Pro: While she can be fearful, a quiet approach works wonders. A recent volunteer noted that Baby was very polite, and sniffed their hand and accepted pets before being leashed up with no issues. Once on the leash, she walks quite well.
Curious Companion: In the play yard, Baby responds happily to squeaky sounds. She enjoys exploring the yard to see what is out there, displaying a sweet curiosity. While she shows some interest in a tennis ball, she is much more interested in exploring her surroundings than playing fetch.
Polite Socialite: Baby is not reactive to other dogs walking by the play yard. She approaches the fence with a polite curiosity to greet new friends. Baby is a playgroup candidate - she can be shy at first, but with time and proper introductions to new friends, she enjoys running, chasing and playing!

Baby is a very sweet, shy girl looking for a calm sanctuary. She is a work in progress who requires a family that will dedicate the time and patience needed for decompressing and settling into a new routine. Slow and gentle introductions are the key to building her trust and confidence.
