*BELEN

Hi, my name is *BELEN

The Animal Foundation Team is getting to know me.

My Special Considerations

This cute kitten has eyelid agenisis on both upper eyelids. This means a portion of the eyelid did not grow normally and as a result this kitten has hair rubbing on the surface of the eyeball that is causing it to develop scratches or ulcers on the surface of the cornea. Her right eye is worse effected than the left. She is currently being treated with both topical and systemic antibiotics. She is also on some pain medication. She would benefit from surgery with an ophthalmologist to address the eyelid agenesis but may ultimately require removal of the right eye entirely. This kitten is hoping for a transfer commitment by 3pm on 9/29.
