Adoption Search
Hi, my name is LUCIA
Lucia arrived at The Animal Foundation after being abandoned in the front yard of an empty home.
She’s a little bundle of love wrapped up in a 50 lb package. Lucia is currently relaxing in a foster home.
Here’s what we’ve learned about her: she loves to swim in the pool, ignores cats, and gets along well with the other dogs in their home.
In her foster home, Lucia has shown she’s potty trained, crate trained, and knows a few basic commands.
She loves affection and will snuggle up next to her foster family any chance she gets.
Email foster@animalfoundation.com if you’re interested in adopting Lucia! Let our foster team know you're okay with us sharing your contact info with her foster family.
My Special Considerations
Lucia is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. She is very anxious in her kennel and is now starting to high jump in her kennel and cage fight with her neighbors. She does allow all handling outside of her kennel. She is also a current playgroup candidate. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
