Why Our Homeless Pets Look Forward to Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday IS Christmas for our homeless pets. On November 28th, with your help, they’ll get just about everything they need to stay healthy and happy until they find their forever homes! (Hint: Kong toys, peanut butter, and Pup-Peroni treats are perennial favorites!)

The Next Best Thing to a Furever Home

While most organizations will be asking for monetary donations on Giving Tuesday, we ask you, our supporters, to look over the items needed on our Amazon Wish List and fill your shopping cart! At the top of the list for every pet in our care is a forever home, but if they can’t have that just yet, helping us make sure they are happy and healthy while they wait is the next best thing!

Toyz and Food is Good!

Our animals have a long wish list that includes staples like kitten and puppy formula (we never have enough!) as well as toys and treats (isn’t that what we all want?)! This is also the time when our clinic, animal care and foster care departments put in their requests for medical equipment; always needed critical supplies; and true “wish” items that are important but not particularly glamourous, like microchip readers and non-slip tub mats (find out how we use them).

What Happened Last Year
Last year, thanks to the amazing generosity of people like you, we reached our goal and fulfilled our entire Amazon Wish List in just one day – Giving Tuesday! Our wish list was empty and our pets’ paws were full by the end of the night with $21,000 worth of wish list items. This year, we hope to raise even more to help the thousands of homeless pets we care for every year. But we can’t do it without you.

So, on November 28th we ask that you help us fulfill our wish list!

Don’t Forget!

Remember to include a note card with your gift that includes all your contact information so we can send you a thank you! Amazon does not identify who the gifts are from, so without a note, we will be left wondering who sent all the lovely gifts for our pets in need. And don’t forget to share your donations on social media using #unselfie so we can see who are biggest supporters are!
