THE ANIMAL FOUNDATION CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAYS BY WAIVING ADOPTION FEES FOR ALL DOGS AND CATS SIX MONTHS AND OLDER

‘Home for the Holidays’ adoption promotion to run from December 19 through 31

Foster parents also wanted for temporary holiday pet parenting beginning today

Las Vegas The Animal Foundation announces a new dog and cat adoption promotion in celebration of the winter holiday season. Prospective dog and cat parents are encouraged to stop by The Animal Foundation’s adoption facilities off Wardelle Street between East Harris Avenue and Bonanza Road beginning tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. to meet the playful pets. The no-cost adoptions for dogs and cats from December 19 through 31 will include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and up-to-date vaccines.  A city/government fee of $10 will apply for residents of the City of Las Vegas and the City of North Las Vegas.

In addition to its new adoption promotion, The Animal Foundation is holding another holiday foster promotion so that shelter dogs don’t have to spend the holiday alone. Beginning today through December 23, the shelter is inviting interested foster families who aren’t traveling for the holiday to pick out a medium or large dog to take home for a cozy, family-filled winter holiday vacation. The Animal Foundation will provide the necessary supplies as long as fosters commit to a full week of care for their holiday shelter pet. If foster families choose to adopt the pet they host, or if they find someone who is interested, the shelter will waive the adoption fee.

Prospective fosters are encouraged to fill out an application which they can obtain either on-site at The Animal Foundation’s adoption area or online at animalfoundation.com. Once approved, the shelter foster team will help to match the most suitable dog with their holiday foster. Any subsequent no-fee adoption of a winter holiday dog will include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and up-to-date vaccines.  A city/government fee of $10 will apply for residents of the City of Las Vegas and the City of North Las Vegas.

These adoption and foster promotions are just some of the many life-saving and life-changing efforts implemented as part of Mission: Possible 2020, The Animal Foundation’s commitment to save all healthy and treatable animals who come into its care by the end of 2020. The Animal Foundation is the highest volume single-site animal shelter and pet adoption center in the nation and provides refuge for thousands of homeless animals throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
